what is this?
The PS 1.1 is an all-new seat for 2016. Similar in design to the PS 1.0, it features the same sloped front arms, but slightly thicker 30-series padding, and budget-friendly chromoly rails.
Similar to the other Performance Short saddles, the PS 1.1 features an upward slope at the rear - providing superb hip support when your body is rotated forward in the aero position, or an aggressive road riding position. This tends to be preferred by athletes that don't move around on the seat excessively while riding. It is also a top choice for triathletes and time trialists who ride in the aerobars, or for flat courses in which the athlete likes to ‘settle in’ to one position and go.
Like all ISM saddles, the PS 1.1 is nose-less and designed to remove pressure from soft tissue, ensuring maximum blood flow, no genital numbness, and a healthier, more enjoyable ride.

ISM™ is the brainchild of Steve Toll, an avid cyclist and swimmer living in Tampa, Florida. In the winter of 1997, following yet another painful bike ride with his wife, Laura, Steve sketched out a design for a seat he thought could eliminate, or at least reduce, the discomfort most riders experience on a traditional bike saddle. By 1999, with some assistance from his family, the concept was patented. That patent marks a significant milestone for an industry that hasn’t seen a major saddle change in years.
Over the years, ISM™ seats have helped propel Ironman wins, Olympic medals, Road Racing podium appearances, and countless age group victories. Pros and amateurs alike are finding riding and competing enjoyable again due in large part to riding the world's most comfortable bike seat.
Flash forward to present day — through hard work and tenacity, Steve has not only created a state-of-the-art bike saddle, he is also being sought out by experts in the cycling industry who want the opportunity to test and ride the ISM™.
